BERO Government Procurement Workshop - This free workshop will help business owners understand the basics of selling to the government and private industry. Arts, Inspiration and Holiday Cheer! - Faded murals, tired storefronts and empty streets used to characterize the Town of Linden-the county seat of Perry County, Tennessee-a place which made national news throughout 2009 for having one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. Through vision and a can-do spirit, the community has rallied to create an arts district that at once draws tourists while also representing Perry County's renaissance. The public is invited to attend a special downtown "open house" art happening and retail celebration. The event will feature sales and specials at select retail stores, an artisan exhibition and showcase, and "open art studio" kid's activities. All activities are free and open to the public.
